Club campsite update for 2024
You can now book a UK Club campsite break between 1 January to 31 June 2024 at the same price as this year, with just a low deposit and free cancellations.
We understand the pressures of the increased cost of living at this time and are always looking for ways to help you tour for less. We have been working tirelessly across the Club to identify cost saving initiatives and negotiating key contracts to continue our investment in UK Club campsites whilst keeping price increases to a minimum. As a result we are able to offer stays on our campsites in 2024 at 2023 prices.
For 2023 we have also introduced offers and discounts to save you money on your stays, including the current 20% off Summer Getaways where you can save 20% at selected UK Club campsites.
Please be aware there is limited availability at these prices.

Rowena, it's a good offer but could you please explain in a little more detail, I believe the 10% is only available for bookings made before the end of September 2023 is there also a time limit within to make a booking to receive the benefit of 2024 bookings at the same price as 2023, and why is there limited availability for these prices

Hi Arch,
That’s correct, the 10% fully refundable deposit is available until 30 September 2023. There is no time limit to book 2024 campsites at 2023 prices. The reason there is limited availability at these prices is because like many other campsite and leisure organisations, we offer different prices during different times of the year depending on popularity. So the earlier you book, the cheaper it is likely to be. Take a look at our Pricing FAQs HERE for more information

It's now £20 under this scheme WN, so as I posted somewhere or roughly about four/five nights depending upon site. We 'saved' £28.40 this morning.
And yes I know I could 'save' even more by not choosing a club site
But yes as I also posted it's meant to catch those booking longer stays with better deposits and booking 'terms' than using another provider, and of course coupled with the other price held for 2024 it could be seen as a good business idea.

We 'saved' £28.40 this morning.
Saved? If that was based on a lower deposit it is not really a saving , all it means is you have a higher fee to pay on the day of arrival but, I am sure you know that. Energy prices are falling hopefully even further by next year. If that remains the case then the Club should be able to reduce 2024 prices to below that of 2023?

Hence my use of quotation marks in 'saved' PD (and I'm sure you knew that too).
The deposit would have been £56.80 at 20% but under this offer of 10% it was £28.40, so today I paid £28.40 less than I would have done, I personally see that as a 'saving' and it's an extra £28.40 in my account rather than the club's
Of course I'll pay more when arriving that's obvious.
As to falling energy prices, and of course other prices rises, who knows, I'm not really bothered as I book club site as I need to and while even if what you say if true at least booking now (I haven't btw) guarantees that 2023 price and even if energy prices did fall, others might not and I really don't think the club would lower it's prices anyway?

My energy supplier has just sent me a mail to tell me by how much their prices were falling and from when...also the impact on my overall predicted annual account.
if electricity prices fall for CAMC won't they have to lower them for the sites using the 'metering trial'....and shouldn't they for other sites where 'rising energy prices' caused a fairly swift upward change in CAMC pitch prices.
Not applying an equitable 'give and take' would be fairly obvious to customers who have recently stumped up those applied increases...

Sadly the 'offer' is not for us and here's why: our behaviour in years gone by was to book our whole year ahead (rarely cancelled), how exciting it was to plan our breaks. Now; we can't pull out multiple deposits (even at 10%) and with increasing age hubby has succumbed to lots of health issues so we daren't run the risk of cancellations at all now. We're seeing our membership out for our one and only booking later in the summer but then sadly the USP for us has waned and it will be au revoir after that. I am so saddened by all of this.

I haven't hesitated to complain about the clubs actions in the past but on this occasion I will give them credit for these offers, I have just just booked a week for next month I didn't begrudge the £20 deposit at all and I may even take the offer up and book a 3 week stay for next year. I hope the club carries on moving in this direction.

Sorry to hear that but a few points that might help?
One there have been posts about people cancelling for medical reasons within the 21 days and the deposit while not returned but it's been carried forward, I think the club said it will look on each case individually.
Secondly the deposits do seemed to have freed up pitches and it is now possible to get more sites at short notice.
And lastly keep the membership and why not look at CLs, some require deposits while some don't but it might be less than a club site? Some of then do have showers and facilties, and even service pitches.
Hope you find something.

At least if you're on a club site when you hold your breath Dave you can be assured that all staff are trained first aiders with life saving equipment too

Totally agree with Billnk, we would spend ages planning our May, June/early July & September ‘tours’, normally a year in advance, exclusively on club sites. Occasionally we would change our minds & re book another area that we now fancied (all weeks/months in advance). However, since the deposit new system has been introduced all of this has had to stop, we can’t afford on our fixed income to be outstanding possibly 12 weeks or more on deposits which if our plans change or health deteriorates we could loose. We have not used a club site since the deposits were introduced & I doubt that we will again.

Please let us know about the sites without deposits which you are going to use instead.
