Fiat Ducato dash warning - check glow plugs
I have a December 2021 Vantourer 540D (Fiat Ducato 2.3L 140bhp automatic deisel) which has only done 3500 miles.
A few months after I bought the Vantourer, I had to get the Deisel Particulate Filter sensor changed, as it was faulty (something I later found out affected alot of Fiat Ducatos). Last weekend I started the van, and the flashing coil symbol came up on the dashboard accompanied by the text "Check Glow Plugs".
Can anyone give me some advice on the glow plus warning? The van seems to drive ok, but given the van is relatively new and the low mileage, I am obviously concerned.
Many thanks - Ian

re Glow plugs ..... I'd suggest that your car is telling you that one or more of your glow plugs have failed or ... the relay that feeds them has failed. I don't know your vehicle, but there are cheap glow plugs & there are expensive plugs .... the last plugs I changed were about £15 each but some have a 'pressure sensor' which are silly expensive.
As it's summer, you're unlikely to notice anything untoward, but as it gets colder you probably will.
(Glow plugs are a heater that get the combustion chambers hot to aid combustion, they generally only get hot to aid starting. Diesel engines are compression ignition vs a petrol engine being ignition compression)
