There have been more cases of lung worm in dogs being reported in the southwest. Make sure your dog is vaccinated and the advice is not to leave dog bowls etc outside on the ground where slugs and snails can be attracted. This could apply to camp site users so it's worth checking out and taking action to prevent this disease.

I wasn't aware there was a vaccine to protect against lungworm, Brue??  Meg has a Milpro worming tablet every three months which is both an effective treatment and preventative measure against lungworm, heartworm and the usual gastro-intestinal nasties.

Despite the fact that she will eat absolutely anything - she, strangely, stays well clear of slugs and snails, thank goodness.

Yes, sorry I should have used the word "treatment." smile

Thanks very much for the heads up 👍 We’re touring the south west later this month so have been to the vets for the necessary wormer as a precaution and will get a suitable sized container to house her food bowl when not in use 👏🎉
