Towergate insurance is a possibility - provided your proposed storage site satisfies them.

'd have thought most companies would not provide the insurance you are after as the van will need to be UK stored. The good bit is I believe taking out caravan insurance in France is a lot cheaper, but I'd have thought the van needs to be registered there.

Could you register it at the storage address?

If you're only going to store it in France for one season the effort and cost involved in registering the caravan there and to deregister it again afterwards is simply not worth the bother.

Lutz, do you have any idea if it is possible as I'm guessing for a longer term view it may be attractive to some owners. If in the UK a typical insurance premium is £400 and on the Continent it may be 1/3rd of that sum then the Maths could add up in favour of registering the van in France.
