Printing list of bookings
I have been unable to print a list of my upcoming bookings with dates and sites since the new booking system came in. It was very easy on the former system.
i contacted the Club about this, and today had a reply saying I could print up the individual email confirmations of my bookings (therefore numerous pages instead of one or two under the former system). For example, ten pages instead of two.
I like to carry the list with me through the season in case of any problem on arrival on-site. To be fair, I haven’t needed it on arrival. However it is reassuring to have a paper copy to refer to if on a holiday involving several sites.
You may think I’m old fashioned but I just like the reassurance of a printed list of bookings. Has anyone been able to print one? I’m using the website on an iPad. (Not the app).
Look forward to any help.

Obviously I don't know what email package you use but why not just print out page 1 rather than all ?
Equally from the booking page on the club's website just select page 1 from your web browser when printing?
Or take a screen shot. print that and/or paste it into a word document?

Yes true, but as I recall under the old system it would still print out three pages when all one needed was the first, so it's just the same as printing off page 1 of the email?
I was a 'print everything off' type person, but now, unless important I don't, of course we all have different levels of 'important'.

The OP is using an iPad. Using the safari browser, if I try and print my bookings, the first 5 are replaced by a load of non useful lines of text and of course the remaining ones don’t have any names. Therefore not a lot of use. You would have to compile the list with a series of screen grabs. Although unless you opened up each one, you still wouldn’t have the names.
If I wanted to have a record, probably the best way would be to print page 2 of the confirmation pdf, or save it to iBooks. Personally I just record all bookings on the iPad calendar and file away the emails in a reservations file in case of any issues. However, it is poor that you can’t just get a simple list of your bookings complete with names to print or save. Then again you would expect a simple link to site directions, but there isn’t one of those either.

I've no idea about ipads so are you saying you can't use google on them? Or you can't view each booking individually?
I'm sure it's on the club's to do list

Indeed Google does work on an iPad. However, I don’t think it unreasonable that there should be a link from the bookings page to the safe approach directions for each site. And no, it’s not on the to do list.
As to bookings. You can view each individually, but can’t have them all open. If you wanted to make a list, by whatever means, you really want the site name and currently this is not available on the basic list.

My to do list was said in sarcasm and yes I agree.
I can't recall but could the old system give a list of all bookings like that? I only ever used to print out the one coming up?
But I guess we're stuck with this one till it's improved on? (said with little hope)

Thanks for the replies, glad to know it’s not just me.
when I arrive at a site I like to have the printout, it’s perhaps two sides a4 for around ten bookings. I have said that I’m old fashioned. Screen shots are OK but what if the ipad or phone needs charging, or is on the blink?
If the site manager can’t find your booking, it’s reassuring to have it in print. I think to have to print them individually is a nuisance and a waste of paper and ink.
I’ve never needed it except to remind ourselves what date we move from site to site. Another step backwards I think, not to be able to print a brief list.
thanks again!

Just to clarify for Cornersteady that yes, you definitely could print a list of bookings under the previous system. It had the booking reference number, the dates, and the site names. You could fit about ten bookings on one sheet of A4 printed on both sides. The year ahead at a glance.
we used to print it off after making all bookings for the season and carry it with us, just in case we needed reminding where next and what date. It was very handy.
With the current system you have to go through a number of screens to view all your bookings, especially if you booked them in a ‘basket’. It’s a nuisance. Not everyone enjoys technology…
First booking this year, five nights end of April to try the refurbished Lady Margaret’s Park.
