Unable to ammend "Old System" booking
Just attempted to ammend a booking made last year before the new improved system came into being. I needed to move the departure date back one day however no matter how I tried the system would not let me complete the process and offered random banners saying profile insufficient or guest details required or partners date of birth incorrect etc etc. I rang HQ and the ammendment was made in an instant without the requirement for deposit, the reason given for the problem was that the new system could not recognise the booking made on the old system. What would have happened if I attempted the ammendment out of office hours or at weekend ?? All very frustrating after being on hold listening to the pre recorded message telling me how the club have made significant improvements to the online booking system - really !!

Well at least it's been resolved.
I altered a booking about 10 days for a booking in May made under the old system and moved everything back a day and there were no problems.
As for weekends and out of office hours there is alway a phone call to the site direct? They do answer if they can depending on circumstances and there is always an answering machine?

I agree with all you say but my issue is the fact that we had a system that fulfilled everything required for UK bookings and worked faultlessly in every way and it has been replaced with a pale imitation of its predisessor. Not what I for one ever asked for.

Well again according to the club the old booking system was, if I recall correctly, on its last legs and could not support future systems and had to be replaced, true or not I have no idea.
I wasn't a fan of the new system, I didn't ask for it either, and it is still more complicated and requiring more information than needed, but now I find it does more and shows more than the old one did and I've grown to like it, just as well as we're stuck with it.
I wonder what extra features, or how different, the staff booking system has compared to ours?
