I don't know if many of you have been watching the recent Robson Green series on BBC2 about the North East. On quite a few of the programmes he stayed in various "camping" structures. No evidence to support this but I wonder if some in the farming community are moving directly to Pod type accommodation rather than considering CL type sites?

Very interesting Nellie, some good ideas there😁 I have seen a helicopter used as a glamper, and you do see old buses sometimes. Nice to see these old vehicles restored and put to a good use.
Northumberland was sort of the last place in England to be discovered by the staycationers. During COVID, the secret came out further, and visitor numbers exploded, so no great surprise that some farms are diversifying more, and that there are more Glamping sites opening. It’s a truly fabulous area, with some of the best beaches in the UK, history that stretches back to the country’s earliest times. We spent our honeymoon up there back in the mid 1980’s, and it was totally undiscovered by the masses. And yes, we were in a tiny camper van, using all sorts of nice Sites. Most are still around, but with changes to cope with those who need more. Get away from the coast, and it’s still very wild and remote. Fabulous place.

I think the cost to gain planning would be quickly recouped peedee. It's the way forward.
