Looking to either tint or have sun shades on some of our caravan windows.   Car window shades seem to be the best way to go, as we have been told car window tints are not compatible with acrylic caravan windows.  Are there shades available for caravans or are there other solutions to this?

Some continental caravans have little sun canopies that they attach to their vans,  they have an awning rail strip above the windows.

I think you will find that British style vans no longer have these rails.

When we are away in hot weather we open the window partially, pull down the net screen then close the curtains on the windows with the sun on them. That and try to park with the van in the shade where possible. We also carry a couple of fans with us to assist in creating a breeze to help with sleeping.

If you are a handy person you may be able to make something that you can attach in someway but I wouldn't have anything actually touching the vans windows.

Our fitted blinds are reflective on the outside, so as good as anything, and we always, where possible, pitch across the pitch, awning side to the sun.

Our Dutch friends would pitch the same but had small canopies, as TG described, for the front and rear windows.
