Does anyone else think that the new 21 day cancellation or lose money rule is reasonable.

I notice that the site fees are now almost double that of the other club

When you compare the 21 days to other providers it seems very reasonable. Only today I've had a similar conversation with a member on site. He liked the old system as you could cancel on the day with no penalty except a wagging finger email.

Late cancellations at present are around 5% compared to 50% with that old system.

Might have something to do with the empty sites!

The terms are still very much more reasonable than other providers. Many leisure companies require a non-refundable deposit when booking plus want the balance of payment 4, 6, 8 weeks in advance and very often you lose the whole lot by cancelling within 4 weeks. I think most of us preferred the old system but it’s still not bad.

As for C&CC being half the price of CAMC, I dispute that and wonder if you are comparing like with like. Cheaper, yes, especially with age concession, but not by nigh on 50%. However, if it’s considerably cheaper, the answer is obvious. 🙂

I really do wonder how people who post on here on that subject would operate a campsite if they actually owned it themselves.
