Great photos Tda and found some more photos of it on Google, good news re your OH he will be busy with your new bike.
At last a bit of sunshine here and just above freezing but still a lot of cloud about.
Good to hear your new cooker and induction has arrived and gardening projects coming along Bakers2, we had a new induction hob a couple of years ago after getting rid of gas hob as I did not like the gas bottle in a cupboard in the kitchen so now back to being a cupboard more useful as only a small kitchen here.
Good news WN.

Yes, I'm also pleased to hear the news for both of you TDA.
We're recovering from our local fund raising event at home, it was very busy and we raised over £240 so it was worth the effort (and all the tidying up, no more housework this week!)
B2 glad you like your new cooker, we've been pleased with ours too, it's dual fuel so a gas hob with electric ovens and it's much more efficient. No more wonky old thermostats and unpredictable results.
Might do the RSPB birdwatch today although not many birds around just now except our lone Fieldfare and ever present Robin.

😱 Pedals and a seat fitted to bike. I think someone wants me to do a test ride. It’s only being fitted for size (and comfort🤣).
It’s going to have a small motor fitted to get me up our local hills, that will be a more intensive bit of rebuilding. Involves a new wheel, respoking, some sort of battery and controller, all the connections and fittings. I got back up in attic yesterday onto our bike roller, no use having a lovely bike if the rider is a crock🤣 caring involves too much sitting around for me.
We have Occ Health coming out to do an assessment on Mum today. Ultimate aim is to get her standing again, so we can use a wheel chair if she can cope. So miss taking her out for a ride in car😢

This post should be okay folks as I'm doing it on a MacBook not my Samsung. Samsung doesn't the clubs emojis and seems to throw a hissy fit.
Anyway, we received a gift token credit card from a relative for Christmas for M&S so we took ourselves off to the big store at the outlet village in Ellesmere Port (or Chester as the CAMC have rechristened it). Couldn't find a single thing worth buying. Couldn't even buy a coffee as their machine had a blip (this store has poor wifi and mobile coverage) so the assistant let me have it for free.
Deleted User User - Will your recent surgery prevent you from touring this year? That would be worse than lockdown years. Good luck with your recovery.

Does anyone else do this? Watch a TV series supposedly set somewhere in France and desperately try and work out where it is filmed. There is a series on Channel Five called the Madame Blanc Mysteries supposedly set in the South of France. Weather and buildings look quite genuine. In one episode a couple of characters were walking along a cliff path to get to a house. I have toured quite extensively in France and know that there are not many places along the Med coast, except perhaps towards the Spanish border with Cliffs. I decided to check out the filming location and its done on Gozo which is an island off Malta! No wonder the French accents are so dodgy

DK, one of the best places to find out that kind of data is the IMDB web site.
Under it's Trivia section it states "Although mainly set in France the series was actually filmed on the islands of Malta and Gozo."
And under Goofs "Although supposedly taking place in the South of France, you can tell it has been filmed on Malta due to the majority of vehicles being right hand drive."

It has been the best day weather wise for over a week, with pleasant sunshine this morning and again in the late afternoon. I was able to get the caravan cleaned outside, although surprisingly a thin layer of ice formed when I was washing the roof, but it soon melted.

Another David wishing you full recovery from your surgery. Sorry you've had to a cancel a trip but glad you're planning on a later one.
Good progress on hard landscaping, 3 guys again. Not had chance to check it , I know slabs were being started around the raised beds before I went out. However mud is an issue 😱
Hectic day by recent standards as I had booked myself a place on the walk about Kathatine of Aragon in Peterborough, so time was important! That came hard, but I made it. Found my way in and some parking, so I'm beginning to get my bearings! OH stayed at home with grand dog as well as ours for company.
Discovered the museum, meeting point for the walk, and will return to explore. The tour was good, learnt stuff about her funeral and will be trying to source more, it certainly befitted a Princess. I've never really thought about her funeral before and having just lived through the funeral of our late Queen it was even more poignant. Looking forward to next January to do more of the events about her, sadly other duties mean I can't just indulge myself at the moment, maybe next year?
Despite the thermometer registering above freezing its still very cold, the cathedral struck warm 😀. The heaters were fascinating, warm to hot as you got near, and open spaces with flames. I do hope there's something about them on the cathedral tour 🤣

I’d like to do the Katherine of Aragon event at some point as well Bakers, such an interesting Queen.
Occ Health visit went well. They are hoping to let us have a bit more equipment for Mum, and to do some Physio with her, so fingers crossed. I got away early today, managed to fit in a few home tasks, and a walk with the pooch, so a better day than usual. Planted a few primroses for a bit of Spring colour.
I use IMDB website all the time for location searches, and lots of other interesting trivia. You can often find older TV programmes and films for free on various websites as well, so worth a search. I found a very rare Colin Firth film a couple of weeks ago.

Good news for your OH TDA It must be a great relief for you both. Good news also that the Occ visit for your Mum went well. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
Sorry to hear that you have had to cancel your spring trip AD. I do hope that you get away later in the year.
We watch Madam Blanc as well so I was interested to hear that it is filmed on Malta and Gozo. We are going to have to watch last night's episode on catch up as we were watching a wonderful talk about Katherine of Aragon on zoom. It was part of the Katherine of Aragon weekend.
I wasn't supposed to be involved with the KofA weekend as I have done quite a lot in the Cathedral recently but the call went out yesterday for another couple of guides as all the guided tours were sold out so I am now on duty again tomorrow morning to pick up any visitors that haven't managed to book a tour and would like one. So pleased that you enjoyed your tour Bakers2. Do go back to the Museum at some point as there is a lot to see and quite a nice café as well. I don't know about the other guides but I do mention the heaters in my tour. I won't say too much about them here but they are Victorian and cost a huge amount to run. I was told £1000 a week when I trained a few years ago but at the meeting this week we were told that they now cost £2000 a week and they are usually on from November to March! Many years ago when our son was in the choir he stood too near one of them and melted the sleeve of his new parka coat - I wasn't best pleased. You will have noticed that they have guard rails round them now.
Hope you all have a good weekend.

It's good to read everyones news, and the tales of saving cash by lowering the amount of electric being used. We have a credit of about £400 at the moment, nowhere near that accrued by Kjell, but our DD is just under £12 pm!!
NTH, your DD wouldn't even cover our standing charge, its £15 a month. Scandalous what they are charging in some areas.
Freezing overnight but a fairly decent day today, cold but dry.
Shopping day, should know better than go on a Friday.

Takethedogalong I hope the promised equipment and physio for your mum is delivered 🤞
Milliehull thanks for your comments on the cathedral heaters. Yes I should think they cost a fortune to run, as probably any system would, in such a vast space. I assumed the guards around them had always been in place 😱. Those flames were fiercesome. Must ensure I get on your tour 😉. Missed the talk was on zoom, I could have included it. I'll definitely visit tge museum, I used the facilities which necessitated a trip through the cafe, so checked it out and thought hmmm 2 birds 1 stone 😀

Strangely I still can't see the profile pic change on my mobile although it's on my lap top...
Looking forward to seeing a few more of these coming out in the wild soon, a few specials in pots in our garden have lifted the spirits.

brue, it is strange as I can see it now but when I wasn't logged in all I saw was the grey lego image.
Beautiful sunny but chilly day here, bedding off for a wash. Solar panels are doing well for this time of year 😊
OH all wrapped up working outside, he's working on the caravan today.
He has fitted a few extra wooden slats to the bench seats in the caravan as we find them a bit on the soft side compared to the MH. He's now on the outside of the van checking things over, wheels have been turned and wind down legs greased. Then onto the hitch assembly. I would go out and wash it but it's pretty chilly and it will only get dirty again with the open fires some of our neighbours have. Best to leave it to nearer the time of using it. We'll that's my excuse anyway 🤪
Might think about going into the garden 🤔

Brue I have you as butterfly on my Samsung phone but building on my Samsung tablet....
Not done anything to either re history or clearing, but did have to insert new SIM card in my phone.
Cold and grey here even though thermometer is 7. Not inspired to do much just pottering with routine jobs.

We have had 3 sunny days in a row, though not exactly mild.
Trip to Aberdeen went well and the funeral was well attended by our former colleagues. Not busy going north, but very congested approaching Glasgow on the way back, so almost 6pm by the time I got home. 319 miles in one day was very tiring.
Took the boys to look at the new cars on Friday while Mummy made Nathan's cake, she was glad to get some peace. The dealership had no automatic models so we could not have a test drive, and only paint colours they had were white and black, so rather disappointing, but we did see a different car in the blue colour we like.
Apparently they would need to order up what we want, lead time 6-8 months!
We did however get to check out boot space, which was pretty good, and try out the seats for comfort, which was also pretty good. Callum tried the seats too, and Nathan decided to test the boot space by lying down in it.
So we now need to think whether we do want to go ahead with changing out the Smart, and if so, take a trip to Ayr, if they still have the model and colour we want.

You are still a beautiful butterfly to me Brue😁
Just had a lovely afternoon in garden, so nice to get back home and get stuck into some clearing. Lots of bulbs poking through, some new growth on old favourite plants. Doesn’t half raise the spirits. Hoping to do same tomorrow, providing I don’t seize up meantime🤣

That’s quite a round trip K, tiring day. Hope you get the car you fancy. I never expected to have a white car, possibly my least favourite colour, but this Mini we found ticked all the other buttons, so I can live with Old English White and black for a while.

When we changed OH's car in 2020 we hadn't thought of white but the car was only 3 years old with very low mileage so we decided that we could live with white. There is always a compromise to be made.
Brue you are still a butterfly on my phone, laptop and PC. I wonder why?
