Battery Charging
We keep our caravan stored on a farm over winter. We visit it regularly to check that everything is OK but I am concerned about the battery running down and the alarm going off as a result. The problem is that the large battery fitted for my motor mover
is quite difficult to swap with my spare - it is heavy and a tight fit.
A related problem is that caravan chargers do not give enough voltage (14.7 V needed) to boost charge a "wet" leisure battery so it needs to be taken out occasionally and put on a proper charger. Any ideas?

I think the important thing is to use a charger which delivers the correct amps according to the state and type of battery. My smart charger delivers between 5 and 20 amps according to need. This the charger determines itself via its diagnostic software. It’s important to buy the correct 12volt charger for the type of battery you have mind be it acid, gel, lithium etc. .

😳 Let’s hope he has solved his issue by now. Looks like I’m the first to offer help mind! Still, the help stands good for this decade too. Lots of folk get their volts and amps confused I’ve found and the whole battery thing is both complex and confusing! Hope my contribution helps those today.
