    A restaurant at Sandringham? 🤔🤔🤔

If the site is open, the facility block will be.👍🏻

For any updates on sites you need to click on the "before you travel" link on the Sandringham site page. smile

There's definitely no restaurant on the site, there was a fish and chip/pizza van every couple of days but maybe not in low season?

The new sites directory promises a restaurant!

I think it is just poorly written. There is a restaurant / cafe at the Sandringham estate visitor centre, which I think it is trying to make reference to.

I agree that the wording is very poorly written in that it states "this site offers ...".  Very misleading.

But that Sandringham estate restaurant is closed from 9 Jan until 11 February 2023. The visitor centre website tells it all.

Isn’t it "within one mile" or something similar?

Unfortunately it doesn’t imply that. It refers to site but it is referring to the area of parkland as a whole, rather than the CAMC site itself. Very misleading as JJ says.

Perhaps the proof reader has been seconded to the IT department?

Very badly worded, it certainly reads that a restaurant is available.

Yes, that's right and there ought to be a link to the estate web site if the club is implying a restaurant is available. At least the courtyard restaurant is only closed for a month.

It's much the same for Hillhead which does have a bar and restaurant but the opening hours can be very limited.

Looks like we will head for a nearby CL then.
