I’m  over 60 years old in a few days, do I get caravan & motor home site discount as I’m told we do with caravan & camping?

    Hi Topgun

    This was discussed at the AGM recently. The answer given was that the fairest way forward was that all offers should be available to all members. I'm in agreement with this, and I'm over 60

    Children over five are part of a family and as such is the part of the membership that this club is striving to attract and keep as members ,as they will probably be the most financially stressed and the majority of the organisations do the same

    Well, I think its different for children. One wouldn't expect to pay adult prices for them.

    As far as rude replies go, thats par for the course on CT. You have to have a thick skin, I'm afraid.

    My own view is that reaching a certain age shouldn't entitle us to discounts. If anything, then younger people with large mortgages should be given more slack in these straitened times, and I wouldn't let it affect my access to CAMC sites for the sake of £56

    I did read it , so what , as you are no longer a member why are you so concerned about what a member posts on a forum that they belong to , if you don’t like it then go and play somewhere else

    I am no longer a member of CAMC but, like you, I am a member of this forum and fully entitled to post. It is as much my concern as yours what someone posts. I'm sorry you can’t see the wood for the trees and, instead, resort to using unfriendly words.

    Why does almost every organisation give discounts to children? It's everywhere and I can assure you it is not out of any concern or love for those with families, it is a simple business concept. Children can't visit these places by themselves so they bring in full paying adults and parents will choose the places that offer the best discounts, hence the kids eat free, or discounted or free child places...  see around even now.

    Your choice to leave the club.
