cracked windows
Last July the skylight window on our Stirling Eccles caravan cracked, we believe it was while driving but at first the insurance company refused the claim saying it was wear and tear. We contested this and they sent out an assessor. The next thing we heard was from the caravan dealer who had sent in a quote. They had been given the go ahead and had ordered a window. That was last August; the dealer says the supply of windows can take months, as they have to come from Holland. We have tape across the crack and round the edges of the window but somehow we are still getting moisture inside the caravan. This would not have happened if the window had been replaced quickly. Trying to get hold of anyone at Swift is impossible, as winter sets in we could end up with a ruined caravan simply because they cannot supply spare parts.
Does the club have any influence with these people; after all we are their lifeblood. Has anyone had a similar experience?

There are several threads on here about failure of the panoramic windows, mainly on Swift models. It’s a known flaw. Check through the threads in the caravan section.

The National Caravan Council (NCC) is only open to manufacturers and dealers so neither Club can be a member.
If XC90fan has an issue I suggest he contacts the Club's Technical Department.
