It was good to get back to near normality after the travel restrictions of the past couple of years. Great to take advantage of their easing!
Summit of Worcestershire Beacon on a bright but very cold February morning.
Pont du Gard at the end of our French river cruise.
The "diamond beach" at Vatnajokull, Iceland.
Sunrise over the beach at Calpe.
And, as a contrast to the first picture, the summit of Sierra Olta in Spain on a baking hot October afternoon!

Had a great year tugging in the Netherlands and UK.
Really enjoyed some "sculptures" we came across plus a sort of hobbit glamping on a site in Netherlands.

Those mastiffs are amazing. Good camouflage as well. Do they roam with the flocks, and are they guarding against wolves?

Loving everyone’s adventures😁
We had a long break in Summer due to OH’s surgery, but…….
At home, in our £37 Aldi pool. It was around 40c….🥵😁
Gorgeous little churchyard CL, near Orford, Suffolk
Amazing house, built into remains of Bury St Edmunds Abbey. And dog!
Maggi Gambling’s’ amazing scallop at Aldeburgh
Weather(!) at Clatteringshaws Dam (you can overnight) D&G.

We didn't have to travel far for the first memorable picture, at home for our jubilee street party but I've counted up around 17 different places we've stayed this year and it's the heat that was memorable on several occasions and the rain on others...ending up with Max the Miracle Dog in Keswick all the MMMs....

Brue, your 4th photo is it on North York Moors? It’s just looks so familiar.

🤣Not familiar then. Thanks anyway👍

First trip abroad since 2019 saw us head for Lago Trasimeno. First stop was in Loches, followed by a lovely overnight, with some chickens for company, and onto Annecy and a birthday paragliding flight.

Oh, and besides being a relief from seemingly interminable threads the title has also reminded me of my Dad sing it he Perry Como song and stressing the line about the bottom fallout of his car!
Amazing how a song can take you back instantly, in this case about 60 years!

Scottish Castles, one of which looks a bit like a French Chateau, big deserted beaches and spectacular views. Just a few highlights of our tour round the north of Scotland.

We've also got about a bit in the UK this year, Brue. Just added them up... we've stayed at 18 different sites, in addition to the cottage we stayed at in the Outer Hebrides....
Out furthest North was Grantown-on-Spey / Outer Hebrides, and our furthest south was South Devon..... I'll try and do a list.....
Probably one of the most impressive places, for us, was our visit to see the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel.... and, of course, Lewis with Harris. I'll try and put up some photos tomorrow...

An infamous little piece of sporting history……..
This is one of Lance Armstrong’s US Postal Service Team bikes from his seven discredited Tour de France wins. Inside a wonderful cycling cafe in Suffolk, our first overnight Britstop on our last tour. Food was superb as well. Magglia Rosso Cafe, not far from Bury St Edmunds.

A couple for the "foodies" amongst you - one for dining out and one for eating in (Clitheroe's main attraction!)

An old dog learning a new trick!
How to ride around in a classic sports car🤣 At this stage it was just getting the pooch platform right, the harness came later. He loved it, except like most of our dogs, he preferred to watch where he was coming from, so liked sitting backwards. We didn’t bother with the goggles🤣
