Bathroom door handle removal

I think the spring in our Elddis Affinity’s bathroom door handle is not working properly as it slips when you use the handle and won’t open. Also the door handle itself is loose but only the outside handle.

I want to take a look, but can’t seem to work out how to take the handles off, can anyone shed some light on that for me please?

    Many door handles have a small grub screw underneath the handle which, when loosened, allows the handle to come away from the spindle.

    Thank you, it does and I took that out but the handle remained firm.

    I will have a bit more time to have another tomorrow after work, so will see what happens.
