Has anyone heard anything regarding delay getting new peugeot based motorhomes registered due to missing paperwork from dealer, manufacturer or peugeot, had new motor delivered six weeks ago still waiting for it to be registered

Every time I have bought a new car the dealer has registered it before I collect it.  What’s your motorhome dealer playing at.?

I have heard of an issue with Certificates of Conformity being delayed. Without the Cert, the vehicle cannot be registered at DVLA. The cases I’ve heard of involve vans sitting at dealerships waiting for paperwork and cannot be sold to the customers until it’s all complete. The vehicles cannot go on the road until approved and registered.

I assume this is the case with yours.

I think so, paid for it and arranged delivery, was told paperwork was missing due to computer error the day before it was delivered and that would probably be only a few days wait, still waiting

It’s not clear if the van is with you or the dealer.

Having paid for it, I would now demand my money back as the van is not usable and the dealer is in breach of contract.

You could speak to the club's legal team for advice.

It's with us, not sure which road to take, could do that but we would have no van at all, as we sold our previous one, another long waiting list to get another

How did it get to you...?

Does it have number plates on...?

If so, I'd be driving it.....surprised

If you can’t use it, what is the point of having it?

If it’s unregistered I can’t see how you can even insure it.

It’s your choice but I’d not hang around dithering. The dealer seems to be taking the micky by selling you an unusable vehicle.

I'd act pronto and get legal advice.

Will most likely go the legal route, just got my fingers crossed paperwork could turn up this week, insurers are aware, delivered on trade plates, wait for paperwork could be shorter than waiting for another van, but have to draw the line somewhere

Patience is a virtue, all registered as of beginning of this week, on the road again

I heard yesterday that things were starting to move. Good!

I have to say though that I don’t think much of your dealer for taking your money and delivering a van you could not use. Personally, I wouldn’t have paid them.
