Hi all!

I have a 1999 Elddis autustratus EB on a Peugeot boxer chassis.

I need a new front shock, but everywhere I look they say that they’re not suitable for motorhome use, even the ‘heavy duty’ ones, like these:

Can anyone help? At this rate I’m going to have to buy a pair that fit and just hope they last.

thanks in advance.

It's good practice to replace suspension parts in pairs anyway

I wouldn't have thought that either axle could be loaded beyond the manufacturer's rating, however the rear of the unit may have a large overhang causing significant 'bobbing' if underdamped. As you say you need a front one (as others say best changed in pairs) the normal heavy duty should be adequate for the purpose.

    Thanks for your help.

I’ve ordered some online. Will let you know if they work out!
