Hi guys.

Just picked up our very first touring caravan. if we stayed at a site with the club member and their plus 1 and plus 3 adults.

what the pitch work out as then?  is the pitch and member and plus 1 the standard pitch amount showing? how does it work please?

Also if we came in our caravan and our friends came with their tent to add onto our awing would that be classed as the same pitch twice or would they need to pitch somewhere near to us as members in their own right?

thanks

    Hello Frellies.

Fees are worked out as so much per pitch and then another fee per person. Ignore the headline fee of "From £n" as that is very misleading. Go to a site's webpage and you can work out the exact cost from the tables shown, ie 1 x pitch fee + 5 (or whatever) x adult fees.

As for pitching, it is only one unit per pitch and the required firebreak distance must be maintained from the next pitch. It is not allowed to reserve a pitch for friends either.

Here’s a link to the site rules which you can also find in your handbook.

PS. Not all club sites allow tents so make sure you choose one that can accommodate your friends.

If your friends tent is just a small pup tent then they should be allowed to pitch next to your awning on most sites but I would confirm with the site you are going to

If it is a larger frame tent they would need a separate pitch which may not be in the same area as you and not all cc sites allow tents
