Hybrids and EV 13 pin - Alko ATC

I have been informed along with my car most Hybrids and EVs don't connect the pins 9 and 13.

I suppose this is they don't want you to drain the batteries with potential Fridge and charging the caravan battery from the vehicle.

 

Had anyone got around this?

    ATC operates on my EV just fine, and as far as I can tell  the fridge operates when towing too. It must be a car specific thing. Maybe sharing the details of the car may help?

    My Toyota PHEV is fully wired for ATC and fridge from the factory. I suspect the issue is no different than for many ICE cars with factory fit tow bars which do not come fully wired?

    Our XC90 MHEV OEM towbar wiring fitted by the dealer powers the fridge and BPW IDC system
