Sorry to hear that Bernard Cribbins has died. He was always there when I was growing up and I always liked him and enjoyed watching him. If I had to choose one part as my favourite it would of course be the hotel inspector in Fawlty Towers, we still often quote some of his lines from that, the main one would be time is not pressing on me which we often use nowadays.

    Search an interesting career, even "Tufty!" Sad to see such talented characters leaving us. I loved the original Railway Children film and he was part of it.

    He did like his " Transport " characters too ~~  even appeared in one Midsomer Murders episode based on WW2 Flying experiences with June Whitfield ~~  whom he hated { on set anyway  !!}

    I had forgotten just how many film and tv shows he played in.

    A very underrated and versatile actor; RIP Bernard.

    Same here.

    Sometimes its not untill these folks die that you realise just what a great body of work they have carried out.

    A lot of that, MJG,  is due to them not ramming their history down our throats and all over the Social Media !!
