Thirsk racecourse site

Hi, can anyone tell me when we are going to be able to book a pitch at Thirsk racecourse site next year (2023) , i believe it has to do with the racecourse events calendar but surely as we approach August bookings should be available soon.

    No firm date for bookings June to September has been given by the club. It's a source of great annoyance to me personally and I expect a good few others. Sometime in September has been mooted when the new deposit system is ready.

    When will the Club put June, July and August 2023 on sale?


    Each month the Club usually puts pitches on sale a year ahead, for example, on the 4th May 2022 we put pitches for May 2023 on sale. The new improved booking experience will be ready to go live for members later this year. Shortly after the new systems go live the Club will put pitches from June 2023 on sale. Thereafter, the Club will continue to put pitches on sale each month, a full year ahead

    Race course sites open for bookings much later than other sites. All the race meetings are decided further on in the year. You might be better asking the club for estimates

    I think with Racecourse sites the release of pitches is not often until early in the new year as the Racecourse authorities work to a different set of priorities to Club sites as they probably have to work around other racecourses, many of which don't have campsites attached. I somehow doubt it necessary to book so far ahead on many Racecourse sites so I don't think you will miss out.

    As David said it is usually in the new year before racecourses can be  booked also usually most of racecourse sites do not need booking in advance although Warwick is busier than the others.

    Agree with Cornersteady re June 2023 bookings now we are nearly through July.

    There’s no change since your earlier thread, Nellie. Availability is still in the hands of the racecourse.
