Does the West Country have poor 4G Connectivity?
Generally when we tour the country we find that we can use our 4G data to use the internet. Obviously speed varies but I don't recall having issues this year in the North East, Sothern Scotland (Solway) North West, Midlands. However since we have been south of Bristol in Somerset and Devon we have really struggled using the EE and O2 networks. We have not exactly been in the middle of nowhere either. Be interested to hear from those that live here. Hopefully this post actually gets through. It does speed up a bit in the late evening.

There will always be black spots in some remote rural areas, I suppose, and a few parts of Devon and Somerset suffer worse than others.
Cornwall, though, fares very well with excellent 4G coverage over most of the county.

Hi David, As said there will always be some issues and we find some coastal areas suffer, maybe due to no 360° signal, such as at Pentewan.
Currently in Holland at end of a five week tour and considering data sims due to very poor campsite provision overall and that’s even when paid for.

The SW was left behind in communications upgrades but money appeared recently and some areas are undergoing improvements. I suspect Cornwall has done better due to various needs and investments. G7?! So you'll find it variable David, details on Ofcom website. So far this year our communications failed briefly on the NE coast. I think generally it's all better than it was. 🤷

It was good in Cornwall way before G7, Brue. I can't remember if it was due to European grants or something to do with an ex-PM holidaying here, or both😉

We had no trouble with the two club sites in Cornwall as OH ex IT signal has to be good for him, as he uses his roaming French mobile phone he could roam to what was available and no issues EE, 3, and Vodaphone, parts of Dorset can be difficult as landowners do not want masts on their land but also depends where you are.
Hope this helps.
