Greetings all.
We are currently researching getting a caravan and are wondering if any caravan sites offer 12 month pitches? Rather than having it in storage we’d like to be able to use the van all year round.
looking in the areas of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hertfordshire.

kind regards Steven and Karen

No caravan club sites or ccc site do 12month seasonal,

It may be difficult to find one as most as you would be doing holiday sites, which are seasonal on max 10months

Of the commercial sites Henlow Bridge Lakes gets good reviews and offers seasonal pitches, but I don’t know how long a season they offer - probably not a full 12 months.

It's  possible to store on some sites and the van will be sited for you as needed. This might get round the problem of finding all year round pitching. Might be helpful  to look on ukcampsites, seasonal pitch search.

Why don’t you take a look at a CL that might suit as an option? Some CLs have planning permission for storage, and are open all year.

We used to store our caravan in Cornwall on a CL, so all we had to do was travel down, hitch it up and put it onto a pitch. We would let the CL know what dates we wanted, and work from there, often extending our stays. Occasionally, if we needed it, our farmer friend would put it onto the pitch for us, or put it away.

There is of course security to think about, our van wasn’t brand new, and we weren’t too precious about it, never leaving valuables in it.
