Or if you chose the cheaper option of membership it will auto renew, the annual without auto renew costs £10 more.

The Club have given you a reminder. It’s your Club Card. It has the expiry date on it, so depending on how you set up your Membership, you can either contact Club and pay for another year, or payment will be taken automatically. New cards are usually sent out a few weeks early. If your payment isn’t automatic, you will need to pay before using your new card.

It's only the case for the initial membership purchase, the following annual renewals are the same price.

I was under the impression the cheaper option was £46 as I am not on auto renew. Just shows you can get miss information.

It’s perfectly possible to join at the cheaper rate and then cancel the DD later but, as has been said, the dearer rate only applies to the first year.

I've had a renewal letter. It does not, however, tell me whether I'm on auto-renew and I can't remember. Why leave out such a vital bit of information?
