Motor mover not holding

Hi.  I'm hoping someone might be able to help. My motor mover has stopped holding the caravan on any slope (eg. The ramp/levelling device) It's not the rollers slipping on the tyre, it's the roller not holding and allowing the caravan to slowly move down the incline. I really don't want to buy a complete new mover when so much of it is ok.

Check that the clamps underneath on the chassis are secure and tight. They may be loose and the tyres are pushing the rollers back.

When retracted what is the distance between the roller and the tyre. 18mm is about normal. If anything greater then as above I'd be checking the mounts as something has got loose and moved out of limits.

Thanks for your replies. I'll check the mounts and the distance between roller and tyre.

Yes, the mover still works on the caravan. However, I have noticed recently that when parking it on my drive, after a trip out, the caravan starts to roll down the ramp a very small amount, so I find myself moving the van a little higher so as to compensate to allow the wheel clamp to be fitted.

I've checked the mounts for the mover and they're not loose. The distance between the rollers and the tyres is greater than 18mm but the rollers are not allowing the tyres to slip. The rollers are turning slightly of their own accord 🙁
