Has anyone had experience of stripping down the Alde inline heating pump.. My has stopped working ,although i can hear a slight noise from it as though it is trying to start. With the new pump being around £300 + it is worth taking it out to check the mechanics of the pump.

you've nothing to lose. The worst that can happen is that you end up with a pump that doesn't work 😉

I have contacted Alde to see if they could provide an exploded diagram of the pump. They do not have this, They did state that failure to change the Alde fluid after 2 years could contribute to the failure.  Mine was change after 3 years to a pink antifreeze. But the person i spoke to did explain the the pump is worked by magnets.. Wonder if it generates power like a Induction hob?. Will l let you know when i remove the pump and strip it down, If it cannot be repaired then i have lost nothing ,but gained in the knowledge of how it works
