Motorhome parking at Southampton Cruise Terminal

We live in Germany and have booked a cruise from Southampton. We would like to drive over in our 8 metre Motorhome so that we can visit friends before and after the cruise. Does anybody please have a suggestion for parking the Motorhome close to the cruise port.  CPS PARKING would charge us nearly £330 for 14 nights, is there a reliable company which does not charge so much?

Many thanks, Paul

It struck me that £330 for a two week stay is probably cheaper than parking it on campsite nearby, especially a Club site! Some people locally might actually rent out their drives for cruise passengers, whether this would extend to a large motorhome I am not sure? A Google of such  schemes might throw up something.

Does your cruise line not offer free parking?

Cunard offer it based on how close to sailing it is.  Also reduced rate parking if you miss the deadline.

You can also use any onboard spend against it too. You say you live in Germany, if your are British ex or serving  forces or emergency services you can get a Defence Discount Service card or Blue Light card than gives you $250 per passenger onboard spend.

Paul, Can you leave your motorhome with your friends, or at an independent campsite near to them which offers storage, or at a storage yard in that area,  and go to Southampton by train?
