Screwing into outside of Motorhome
I caught one of the rear side light/reflectors on my motorhome. It pulled the fitting out. Tried to tighten screws up again but not holding. Did temporary fix securing with insulation tape. How do I get the screws to grip is there some sort of filler you can use?

Fill the hole with araldite and redial.

You could try moving the light slightly up or down or even sideways and make new holes as close to the old ones as possible. Fill old holes with sealant. At least that way the lights can easily be removed again.

Try these or similar. Can be used creatively in many settings, not just that intended, wherever a new thread is required. Or even those small anchor bolts used in cavity wall settings.

Those rubber expanding grommets are a real pain. I must have lost three or four down the inside of my caravan's rear moulding when refitting a light cluster. Why they don't just bond a nut permanently is beyond me.
