Gave up beating my head against the wall of the worlds worst, most buggy and slowest website and booked two summer stays on a private site yesterday.
the ‘Club’ must be very wealthy if it can shrug off losing 3 weeks booked in high season on fully serviced pitches.
I'm using a 56Mb fibre broadband connection, and when it IS working, this site is so slow, it’s like the server is being hosted on a 40 year old ZX80 with a 1.2k dial up connection.

+1, I tried last week twice to book a few days away. After increasing frustration & facing buffering at every click I bailed & shopped elsewhere😞. I rejoined C&MC this year after a few years not being a member. . .Why? I’m still using the private sector.

It is most strange that there has been no word from Ro, who is usually on the ball with responses, as to the reasons for the web site being so poor, and getting worse. Perhaps she has thrown in the towel and no one else want to erroneous task of explaining and apologising for the site being rubbish of late.

Trying to copy a page over for someone on the Overseas threads and just kept getting Server Error.
It really is pathetic that one can't help another member in the manner that the forum was set up for because of the malfunctioning of said forum.
All threads like this one does is allow members the occasional rant to let off steam.
I did notice the other day that someone hadn't been able to access the booking pages and in frustration booked an independent site. Well done those management people.

That, as far as I can see, is part of their "cunning plan", members getting so frustrated with the site that they stop posting and then HO can turn round and say that it is not worth keeping it open as so few are posting on it.

I think you could have hit the nail on the head. Rowena is usually on the ball and is quick to delete posts, or as on this thread even start a new one and so Must be aware of the continued complaints!. But no explanations or progress reports so surely this is a directive from her superiors.

Server errors all over the place this morning. Gave up and logged off. Clearly there has been no improvement since my month in France.

Not really but one lives in hope. I think I might give it a miss for another month unless this morning's "essential(?) maintenance" has performed a miracle.

I think it's made it worse the picture of the club membership card is overlapping the text on one page, well it does on mine.

Been happening on my android tab and phone for the best part of a week. It certainly never improves. Mainly on the latest activity page making it even more infuriating.
I've noticed it more because I changed my details and had to be re-accepted after 3 posts. It took lots more than that, Friday to Wednesday and the intervention of a community moderator contacting Rowena. When you've been approved, no one tells you! Certainly makes you feel very welcome and valued.....
