Where is rear view camera fuse?

Got a Swift Lifestyle 624 built on a Fiat Ducato with a Swift installed 2-channel camera display unit instead of the central rear-view mirror. Rear view camera comes on automatically with ignition and automatically switches to downward facing camera when reverse gear engaged. Until yesterday I've never even touched it because it has always worked automatically every time. But yesterday when I started the engine the display was dead. I tried pressing the on/off switch and the various other switches. Nothing. I'm hoping it is just a fuse. But where is the fuse? Swift manual says the fuses are in the habitation area fusebox Power Supply Unit. I've studied them but none are labelled camera. I've taken each fuse out and checked it, but none have blown. Does anyone know if there's another fuse somewhere else? If not, has anyone got any suggestions? The cable goes direct into the display unit so I can't unplug it to test continuity. The cable is not easily accessible once it goes into the roof above the passenger. I'm going away in the motorhome in a couple of days and I can't get anyone to look at it before I go and I'd like to have it working for the trip. Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    PS, it's a 2016 model.

Can’t help you with fuse location, but the gearbox reverse switch on the Ducato is a weak point - you can eliminate it by checking if reversing lights are working? If not, it’s easily replaced.

The display unit is not coming on at all. It should come one rear view even if the reverse switch is not working, or should switch on with nothing displayed if both cameras were broken. But the display unit is not even powering up.

PS SeasideBill, the reversing light on the rear of the motorhome is coming on when reverse is selected.

Thank’s the switch checked out ok, just a thought as I’ve similar problems in the past. I’m not familiar with Swift vans but when converted they have several options available to take the power feed for the camera. The dash & engine bay fuse boxe locations should be illustrated in your Fiat manual. There’s a third tucked away behind a panel on the passenger compartment door pillar, can’t remember which side though. The latter is the favoured location for some of the habitation fuses in mine.

Thanks Bill. I've checked all the dash fuses. I did see reference to fuses behind a panel in some models. I unscrewed the panel (it has been unscrewed before because some of the paint had been chipped off the screw head) but no fuse box (the Fiat manual did say it was only in some models). But I checked drivers side only because that's what the manual said. I didn't check passenger side. I'll have a look.

Update: Bill suggested I look behind the panel on the passenger compartment door pillar, I did. There were no fuses but I did locate behind that panel the camera control unit: a small matchbox-sized unit (photo attached) with a 4 connections: power feed and earth, thick blue cable for the monitor and cables for each camera (disconnected in the photo). I checked the power feed and it came on with the engine, so there can't be a fuse problem. I tried running it with both cameras disconnected: the monitor should have powered up, it didn't. So that suggests that either the monitor is dead, or the control unit. I think it's now a dealer job.

Hello, I seem to have a similar issue. Monitor a r m 720 seems dead no power and a beeping sound. Checked all the fuses I have found. Camera is a rv77 connected by a Wi-Fi control box to the monitor. Any help would be be appreciated.

Hi, I have this problem too. What it’s also doing is causing the 12v feed (engine running) to the fridge to fail. Did you get a resolution from the dealer on the issue?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    TIA

Hi, I have this exact issue with the added complication that it’s caused the D+ supply to the fridge (engine running) to fail too.

did you manage to get it sorted at the dealer?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

    TIA

    David
