Boring subject, but very annoying, early arrival

Enjoying a lovely break, on a site that is a 1o'clock arrival, the first unit arrived at 11.50, and had to wait until 12.15 and then it continued after with another 5 on before 12.30. Is it up to the wardens discression, because knowing my luck they would turn me away and tell me to come back later

This has been discussed very recently. There is an issue in that the arrival time is now 13:00 across all sites, however some confirmation emails are still showing 12:00 and wardens are being lenient while this persists.

After this issue has gone a serving warden has posted that people are going to be turned away if arriving early, which I fully support.

Corners has said it all really. That explains the current position in a nutshell.

Here's the most recent discussion on the subject.

It all depends when the booking confirmation was issued.

It's largely about keeping the entrance road free so people mistaking "no arrivals before 1300" for the ability to roll up, block the site access and sit waiting to book in when the office opens are adding to the problem.

Come on folks, you’re not sounding particularly  welcoming to new members like myself.

We about to stay at out first ever site, and I received my final confirmation e-mail today. This e-mail clearly states our pitch will be available from 12:00; am I expecting to be dragged over the coals for expecting that to be correct and daring to arrive then?

I don’t think the OP is actually new, despite posting in introductions but I think we have been welcoming to you. With one exception, I think we've been informative and factual in our replies here.

No one can say what will happen if you, understandably, arrive early at your site.

I cant understand why people get so upset about this, surely you are not pitched on the entrance road so why should it bother you?

If they are booked in then they are going to arrive at some point during the afternoon why get upset over someone else arriving early as long as you are happy you are following the rules then so be it

We have just stayed at a Morris Leisure site and their policy is if you contact them and your pitch is available they will allow you on early.

It makes sense to spread the arrivals to try and avoid people having to wait to check in and often block the entrance road

It is supposed to be a holiday so why not try and relax instead of fretting over what others are doing!

I feel the need to elaborate on my earlier post by pointing out the exception was the rather cutting post you liked,J&I, not the informative post you replied to. I think you may have perhaps misjudged something here.🤷🏻‍♂️

    Dear J&I

    Welcome to the club

As you quoted my post, in what way was I not sounding particularly welcoming in my reply?

I answered the OP's question with a factual (as I saw it) answer, they asked a question I answered as best I could.

As to your question, I can't see, quoting myself, a warden being lenient and letting you on is anywhere near being dragged over the coals, was being dragged over the coals ever mentioned? And in any case I have no idea what you expect?

Your email is a case in point and shows where the issue is but you now know from reading this thread what time you should be arriving and what you do now is entirely up to you now.

    regards
