M20

We are travelling from Norfolk to Knightingales CL in Kent next week (18th).

Has anyone an idea of what the M20 is like? Do we avoid at all costs or is it just slow because of the lorry situation?

    On my road atlas it looks like A274 from Maidstone to Tenterden and then the campsite as an alternative

    On Sunday on the M25 the signs said that the M20 was closed, I think between J8-12.  I assume this was because of the lorries stacked up, however, having searched on the Internet it is maybe just closed to lorries.
