Help - Water leaking from behind shower panel
Have recently re-pressurised the water system in our 2019 Swift Bessacar and just arrived on site for our first trip of the season. Everything is working fine except for one big problem. When the pump is switched on, it is trying to pump water into the shower (even though the shower is switched off) and now water is escaping from behind the shower panel. We are having to keep the pump switched off to stop it.
We’re 128 miles from home and our local dealer. As relative newbies reluctant to take apart the shower panel to see what’s going on.
Any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Bad luck. But in my life plumbing problems are for plumbers. I wouldn’t know where to start. So three choices - call out a mobile caravan technician tomorrow, drive to a workshop, or use campsite shower block for now and wait to get it fixed when you get home. Don’t let it spoil your holiday., Regards.

Sorry you've got problems. We had a similar problem on our last trip away. We had to manage without water, the pump was sending out water into the pump housing (near other electrics) so had to be switched off. Luckily we were just on a two night stay. We relied on our kettle till we got home. We later found it was a worn washer that needed to be replaced. OH can fix things but if you're away for awhile the suggestion of a mobile techinician is a good one.

Oh, dear! We had a similar issue. Pump would occasionally pulse and water was seen leaking out under the flooring and on to pitch. Unfortunately this entailed a removal of practically all the interior of the shower area as it was a pin prick in the hot water pipe at a rather inaccessible place and not a joint. Thankfully all rectified under warranty.

An update - took the van to the dealer who quickly discovered that the water pipe attached to the shower had 'blown' - probably some water remaining in the joint that had frozen. All sorted at a cost of £63 so could have been worse. The learning point is that although I had drained down the system there is always a risk of a few drops of water remaining which could freeze and then pop when it thaws out.
