Bailey 2022 deliveries
Does anyone have any knowledge regarding the delivery of 2022 Bailey Unicorns please? It would seem that they are hit with one delay after another, rear lights, now front windows. Completely trust our retailer but plans cannot be confirmed until we can be confident of delivery dates and everyone seems to be in the dark. Have been told six weeks after build date, is this standard?

Plenty of complaints about deliveries being delayed on the Bailey Owners FB pages. I know that's no joy for you to read, but it's the way it is at the moment, although I don't think other makes are any better.

7 months!! I'd have rejected the deal had it taken that long.

I'm being ignorant here. I ordered new vans to factory order in 2006 and 2016. Both took 7 to 8 months.

But were you quoted that length of delivery? If told that the van was due in two months then that's when I'd expect it to be delivered, not after 3 times that.

The trouble is of course that the way prices are increasing you are more than likely to end up paying more, probably best to stick with it even if not ideal. If the OP is trading in another caravan I assume that have use of that until the new one arrives?

As said I don’t think this is unique to Bailey nor a recent problem entirely.
Our van, a Lunar bought in 2017, was promised for delivery 3 times and in the end only picked it up 6 days before going to France, after writing to reject the deal.

They were the quoted delivery times. I enquired at the end of 2021 about a factory order Eriba and was told by one dealer books were closed for built to order customer requests for 2022. They expected sometime time 2023 would be a realistic date.

I was told by a dealer that LVs have slots on the production lines depending on the advance orders for each model ,and that will enevitably push less popular models back if more orders come in
If orders for dealer specials and customer extras on of the popular models will also delay some models
The above was before today's supply chain problem that is affecting all industries

I'd just stick with the van I have, and have had for over 10 yrs now, from new, and do as AD did go for a demo, even if it is "last year's model", provided it had all that we were after.

Ropers (the supplying dealer) kept to the trade in price for our old Bailey, and the list price for the new caravan at point of order. very pleased with the service

Ropers, North Yorkshire, (the supplying dealer) honoured the price quoted for both the trade in of our old caravan and the price of our new Cabrera
Yes we kept the old caravan until the new one was delivered

Still waiting for our Unicorn, two weeks have passed since first posted! Seems like Bailey have stopped manning the telephone. Would be very grateful to hear from anyone who has any idea as to the situation, re deliveries, parts that are unavailable seem to be holding completion of vans up. Also, is it correct that Bailey are addressing the lack of fly screen in the front window issue in the 2022 Unicorn's?

Bought a new Bailey Adamo built on the Ford chassis at the NEC in February 2022 was hoping to pick up in September have my Ferries booked and dealership informed me today it won’t be ready before end of October November as Bailey can’t get the the windows

We had an 18 month wait on our Adamo! Until it lands at the dealership, I would advise against making any plans. As you can imagine we cancelled numerous trips and it just adds to the frustration.
