Shocking news, particularly coming so soon after the passing of another Aussies legend, Rodney Marsh.

There are going to be some great Ashes "rematches" in heaven now.

    Shane (and Rodney) RIP.

Just seen this and clearly, at 52, very young. He had spoken about Rod Marsh just before he appears to have died himself.

Such a shame to see such great cricket characters pass away so suddenly, even if they were Aussies. They both will be sadly missed and not just by the cricketing public but by all true sportsmen worldwide.

    RIP Rodney and Shane

A formidable team of spinners is assembling behind the 'Golden Grace Gates'

Jim Laker, Tony Lock, Alf Valentine, Sonny Ramadhin, and now Shane Warne  --  May any batsmen keep well padded and hope for  three innings

Rest in Peace you lovely lot

    Awful news.

He certainly livened up many a test match, what a talent and what a character.

    RIP 🥲
