Assume you'll be heading Church Stretton way if you're walking the hills? If so, just south of the town, in Bunyions Lye, both the Ragleth Inn and the Green Dragon we found very good. You will need to book.

Jemima's Kitchen at Victoria House, in Church Stretton itself, does fabulous breakfasts, lunches, cakes and coffee.

If you do get to Church Stretton then the Kings Arms does, or at least used to do, a good Sunday roast and is dog friendly.

You could always walk Caer Caradoc and the Lawleys and end up in Leebotwood and try The Pound. We've not eaten there and it did seem a bit pleased with itself but the CL we stayed at, a few years ago mind, did recommend it. I'm always wary of recommending eating places that I've haven't recently eaten in as chefs and menus and clientele can change quickly, especially after covid.

The Kings Arms looked like a local favourite so it's where I would go if in town. Ex-T's suggestion of the Green Dragon is spot on but again it is quite a while since we've been in.
