I have just been reading the latest Club Magazine about the site recommendation for Llangollen Festival on 14 May.

I don t think the Lady Margaret s Site is open .

No it's not - probably not until endish of October if I recall.  We're looking at the newish Foxtail Caravan Park at Chirk as an alternative.

You could always try the AS site Gaer Hyfryd near Corwen. Not that far from Llangollen. It's quite a few years since we've been so can't comment on current conditions etc.

Not finding anything on Google Maps of that name a mile from Llangollen; only the one with the same name a mile from Llanidloes which is a different area.

Are you saying the club magazine is suggesting a closed site for attending an event?

The club seems to be as out of touch about their sites as it does about its website! See Server Errors. Mind you it's not necessary to read the entire thread. Opening post, penultimate page and Rowena's comments today....

Very sad state of affairs for a multi million pound industry. Not the first time the negative hasn't been proof read and checked for accuracy

If you want a site in Llangollen then try Wern Isaf Farm. Decent enough 5 years ago when I stayed and gets decent reviews on UK campsite website.

Only problem is whether you can get a booking.

We are really sorry for the error. Llangollen Royal International Pavilion is also within easy reach of Gaer Hyfryd Affiliated Site and several of our lovely Certificated Locations so hopefully this will help for anyone looking for somewhere to stay.
