I have just read the following article re towing with an electric vehicle.
I don't subscribe to the Daily Express but thought this was worthy of bringing to the attention of members and also the club

Hi Harry,
"Some manufacturers could stop drivers from towing caravans in blow to staycation hopes
MANUFACTURERS may not allow drivers to use caravans or trailers on their vehicles in a blow to motorists planning staycation trips in 2022."That article says "could" and "may" and another says drivers "could" be fined for listening to their car radio so appears, like much of what passes for news, to be speculation.
However well informed that may be only time will tell.

Given that paper's generally less than progressive agenda, might this just be a sneaky way of discouraging prospective EV buyers?

A huge non-story based on a throwaway comment by Matt from carwow while he was testing a EV (Skoda Eniaq) for range while towing a caravan.
The fact is that over time a higher percentage of models from any manufacturer will be electric only, and they will compete for towing business. Manufacturers know that being able to tow is a big benefit to their customers. It’s why the enter their cars for the various tow-car-of-the-year awards. It’s why some offer discounts for new cars through the club.
There is already a healthy pool of EVs both homologated for towing, and with decent towing capacities.
That list is only going to go on growing.
