A great entertainer and showman although not without his personal troubles. I'm sure he will be missed.

Another one of the great entertainers sadly gone. 60 years in the business, can't see any modern day musicians lasting that long?!
RIP.

As a great fan of Bat Out Of Hell, I was saddened to read this today.

I was lucky enough to see him three times in concert. Brilliant entertainer, great performer, and iconic music. Not everyone’s taste, but albums that have stood the test of time. RIP indeed.

8 times for us TTDA, never disappointing. Have every album too, It's a mile to our nearest neighbour so I think it will be volume up later

RIP, never saw him perform, but really enjoyed his music.
A neighbour of ours did a very good Meat Loaf tribute act in his younger days. Very popular in the Burnley clubs and pubs.

yes all great songs and especially words that just seem to hot the spot .
I hope he's seeing paradise without the need of dashboards lights now.

Paradise……. By the Dashboard Lights.
The lyrics are simply superb, but it needed Meat Loaf to belt them out. Preferably with Bonnie Tyler alongside. A Hartlepool United fan would you believe…..

An anti-vaxxer at an "at risk" age. Died of complications from Covid. However one regards his musical career, a bit of a plonker.

He wasn’t the first, and he won’t be the last. He actually did well to stay alive to 74, many rockers haven’t. Something usually gets them. We shall enjoy his musical legacy.

We did yesterday TTDA!! Didn't realise my sound system went that loud. Remember the rave at Exeter??

Perhaps CY looked at the newspaper headlines and got it from there😉

Shame on you CY for saying that, you often speak ill of the dead?
Perhaps he was and perhaps he wasn't but this is not the place to say that, you may have missed the section heading but it's Congratulations, Good Wishes & Kind Thoughts.
Like others I enjoyed his music immensely and sad to know he's gone.

Been reading about his views on the songs he sang:
"People say, 'The songs are so long,' but they're condensed life stories. Twelve minutes is rather short for Anything For Love. Eight minutes isn't too much for Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. Those songs are about entire lifetimes."
And what about his own relationships?
Asked in 1996 what he was prepared to do for his first wife, Leslie, the star replied: "Wash up. Take out the rubbish. Everything. But doesn't everybody?"2 -
Do I🤣 I rather enjoyed the rave, good beat. It was the incursion by others next morning that was worse. The Crusty’s got a helicopter hovering over them. The thieving, violent visitors warranted a rather ineffective young Constable if I recall correctly🤔
I always think of Meat Loaf’s concerts as Rock Opera. His songs told a story. Certainly the Bat Out of Hell stuff.
