Excalibur wheel lock.
I wonder if anyone has used ones these in place of the Alko lock insert. I have great difficulty lining up the Alko receiver when I bring my caravan home and have just discovered that the Excalibur fits the Alko receiver. The Alko lock insert only fits half of the spaces on my 2019 Swift Eccles wheel but the Excalibur appears to fit in all of them which would make life easier.

I have no experience of the Excalibur wheel lock, but it is worth checking that your insurance company is accepting them as approved security device.
On my wheel I only have 4 positions on the alloy wheel as the tyre valve is in one.But I find it easier to offer up the lozenge without the bolt in position and adjust van position by the motor mover and look through the hole,I even have a foam pad for the creaking knees now.
I have it down to a fine art now!

Thank you Fozzie, my problem is I have very limited space for forwards and backwards movement so if the Alko receiver lines up with one of the small wheel, I have to move off the drive and start again. If I do decide to go down this route, I will have check with my insurance co first.

All sounds very inconvenient to me. Hardly surprising if the thing's buried in stone and needing a Merlin engine to ensure movement.

and have just discovered that the Excalibur fits the Alko receiver.
Are you sure about that?
I don't have an Excalibur but looking at the manual it appears to come with it's own receiver which has to be positioned behind the wheel each time you use the lock.
I use a Nemesis Ultra which is easy to fit (initial fitting requires the replacement of a wheel bolt) but same comment about checking insurance applies.

In 54 years with caravans stored at home I never had any sort of wheel lock. I just told the insurance company I only had a lock for the hitch. They charged me a bit more.
