Although there are occasionally a very few exceptions, why is it that the Club Shop prices are about 20% higher than anywhere else you can buy the same stuff from. I thought the Club was meant to offer benefits to its members?

The club shop is actually Prima Leisure which is part of the Bailey LV group that gives members a 10 percent discount

I suspect it like most suppliers, some things will be cheaper elsewhere, but not all. The first thing I checked a Thetford fresh up kit worked out at £93 inc delivery. I couldn’t find a price cheaper, generally I was getting £107 to £111.

OK, but with the 10% discount surely you would expect most things to be cheaper than elsewhere?

The answer is to buy elsewhere and swerve the Club Shop. Simple!

I’m afraid I’m not going to get very excited about saving all of £3. The OP was talking about most things being 20% higher.

Went onto the site looking for replacement gas struts for the skylight. Priced them up at just short of £40 for the pair.

Went to EBay and got them for under £15!

If they are the same, then the answer is as TW stated.

Prima operates the shop and makes profit. The club profits too because the agreement between the club and Prima will surely bring in a fee of some sort. It's a nice little earner for both the club and Prima and provides little if any benefit to club members.
