Some years ago the Club offered "life membership" for a one of fee.  Don't know the exact amount but it was a lot of money at the time.  Those that took up the offer have been laughing all the way to the bank since.  Wonder what the cost would be now for
such an offer?

I know this is a very old post but my Dad took out Life Family membership at the time and put it in my name. The Caravan Club wanted to raise a lot of money very quickly and so offered Life Membership at the time. I can't remember the year, possibly late 70s, but he paid £110 at the time which was a lot of money then. Life Membership on it's own was £100. I am still a happy caravanner and have now clocked up over 50 years.

Not bad for what you would now pay for 2 years membership

I remember that offer and you are right Steffie it was £100 because at time my take home pay was £18 per week so having to support a wife and young family it was way out of my reach'
