Coachman door crack

In spring 2021 we noticed a crack in the plastic just beneath the door window of our 2016 Coachman VIP 460.  The dealer and ourselves have contacted Coachman and been told the part is out of warranty.  I believe we may have a claim under the Consumer Rights Act and would like to know if other Coachman owners have experienced a similar problem and, if so, how did they resolve it.

    You’re going to waste your time with coachman, see previous threads they are not interested in customer care, if you’re lucky you might get a condescending reply to any request for help!

    We have a Coachman VIP and have not had this problem. With reference to recent comments on Coachman, I note that in a recent survey of owner satisfaction by the Camping and Carravanning Club, reported in this month's magazine, Coachman came second to Adria for new caravans, first for used caravans and first for new and used caravans combined (all based on just under 4,000 responses)

    If the crack is superficial then I would cover it and live with it. If it’s structural and the door is falling apart then I would buy a new door. But mind it doesn’t slam shut in the wind or the new one might crack too.
