CL and self catering accommodation
I am having difficulty in finding CLs that also have nearby accommodation as there is no way to search for this. Over the last few years my daughter and family who do not own a Caravan have joined us on CLs in beautiful cottages belonging to the CL owners. The only way I have been able to locate these is by laboriously trolling through reviews hoping that this is mentioned.
it would be so helpful if this criteria was added to the search facility for CLs.
We need need three or four bed accommodation and prefer the quieter vibe of a CL as one of our grandchildren has special needs.

Just a thought on this. CL's certificated by the Club are there to provide up to five camping pitches. So it will be the facilities provided for campers that the club will concentrate on. It probably is only if the CL owner actually happens to mention it in the general description they have additional accommodation. If it helps I did a Google search for CL's with Glamping and it came up with quite a lot of possibilities. I assume you could narrow down the search by adding the area of the country you are interested in.

Barmar, Google will do the legwork for you. Just type ‘CAMC sites with cottage accommodation’. The answers include CLs as well as Club sites and links to previous queries, discussions and suggestions on here.

Barmar, we know quite a few CLs that have alternative accommodation available, as we use them for our family. Give me a clue of what sort of areas you might be interested in, and I will see if I can help. That’s quite a big ask though, four bedrooms.
One cottage on a CL we have used, with four bedrooms is at Foulden Hagg, in the Scottish Borders, around 5 miles from Berwick on Tweed. Beautiful location, lovely cottage, very nice owners.

We too know of CLs that have additional accommodation. What area are you interested in?
There was a previous post on this subject that listed a few.

Information for any folks like us who often look for CLs that provide alternative accommodation for friends and family……
The CL Owners website and App now includes a filter so that you can search for CLs that also offer, B&B, cottages, huts, pods etc……very useful.

Thank you. The new filters - which also include filters for 'No Dogs' and CLs without Toilets & Showers (alongside filters for CLs that allow dogs / have toilets etc) seem to have been well-received by our growing number of users (currently over 18,000 members) and the 230+ CLs listed

I thought that too, RK, but at £840 for a week in Sept, I don’t think so 😂
Good luck, BirchHill, but it ain’t for me.
