Hello,

Anyone on here got a Tesla Model-X and have some real-world towing facts.  Specifically, given the tow mass of your caravan what range do you get on a single charge?

I watched a YouTube video made by someone in Norway or Sweden give a range of about 106 miles for 2,200. KG, but that was in the winter and through mountainous terrain.

That's OK then. 145 miles towing range, cost price £99,000.

At that price it'd be cheaper to pay someone to get the caravan delivered to the site 🙄

Yes, and have  you seen the tiny caravan being towed? Same goes for the C&MC Towcar of the year awards.

That's the same article that Chocolate trees linked to when promoting leccy cars that can tow.

Looking forward to the day when a EV will tow our Elddis Crusader for a minimum 300miles for around £40k, that would be real progress.

On one of the Eriba forums a dutch owner is towing a Troll at 1000/1200kg with a Hyundai Ionic 5. He reports towing 160 miles with a potential 170/180 miles a realistic max. If you could double that range I'd be interested.

That is what I thought, but I heard a rumour you can find a couple of hills in the south near Belgium. I've since discovered this is not fiction as we are booking a campsite at the bottom of one of these hills and been warned the town, Gulperberg, is at the top and it's a bit steep.

I see from GoogleEarth that it drops by 70m from Margratren, some four miles away. Positively precipitous. wink
