Hi,

We are new to Caravaning but very excited and happy with it so far.

Are there any other parents out there who have child/ children with a disability/ severe learning disability.

Looking for any suggestions, for experiences, site.. places to go, etc...

Our son is nearly 18..but has severe mental imparement...but loves the caravan...so far.

Looking forward to hearing and maybe connecting with similar families.

Hayley

    Welcome, Hayley.

There used to be a poster in similar circumstances to yourself but I’ve not seen her posting for a long time.

Good luck to you and your son and enjoy your trips in your caravan.

Hello Hayley and welcome to you and your family.  I'm sure that a caravan will give you all some wonderful holidays.

Welcome Hayley - I wish you all the best.  I have had quite a few years experience caring for people with Learning Difficulties and as has been suggested there might be a mixed reaction on site.  I think the use of CLs is very good but I am sure you would be welcomed on many Club sites.  It is my view that some people feel "threatened" by different behaviours so educating them can be a good thing.

Great opportunity for him (and you)  I hope it works well.

If you ever visit Norfolk, be aware of this place - it's not too far from Broadlands club site .
