TVs in awnings

Never watched TV in the awning back when I had one, nor did I bother with it whilst abroad. Not sure what I did with the time freed up, probably sat in a wine induced haze.

The only time I can specifically remember watching telly in the awning was about 25 yrs ago, watching a Wimbledon tennis final. The weather was far too nice to sit inside consequently the sides of the awning were removed too. An ice cream van turned up close by and the queue was alongside our awning which meant that there were loads of people watching the final too as they queued for their ice creams.

A slight variation on tv's in awnings. Several years ago my eldest brother (now departed), owned and ran a caravan site in Dorset. On day sat outside a caravan were a number of children staring intently at a large cardboard box set on a table. Yes, inside the box was a tv. The family were packing up to leave and had removed their awning, one way to keep the kids entertained I suppose.

Well I like my TV, at home, in the van or abroad.
It's how I relax, I do like reading but I can't do that for long as I have an eye problem.
I would never watch it in the awning, we don't have one. Even if we did I wouldn't do it having suffered this from others.
Its quite common abroad to have tv's outside or to sit with the door open of the van and the tv on loud.
I have been known to bring it to someone's attention that their tv was annoying other's mainly me.
I'm not very tolerant of unnecessary noise so always make sure that our tv isn't to loud.
