Club Shop - item vastly overpriced
Supporting the Club's shop...I went online to purchase some Dometic Power Tabs....usually purchased online at Amazon or eBay at around £17 inclusive of postage......whichever the cheapest at the time. To my shock i found the product on the club shop priced at £32.99 + £4 postage..
I realise the overheads at EG are at an all time high...but this is something else !!

I thought the Club Shop was run by Prima Leisure (Bailey) on behalf of the Club, although I am sure they get a cut
I have purchased several things from Prima Leisure, like fridge vents, and have found them to be quite competitive. I have never thought of buying toilet chemicals online, I usually nip into Go Outdoors for mine.David

I’ve noticed good deals sometimes, at other times, no. Personally I wouldn’t buy anything via Amazon, to the point where I’d happily pay a few more quid to avoid them. I’ve seen and read enough to know it’s not the sort of outfit for me.

Personal choice. I buy the tablets/sachets online as the OP does but not from the club shop.

The bio pods work for us as well. Cheap, readily available and non messy. Choice is all, but no matter what we use, we don’t like being overpriced so we shop around.

We first tried them when we switched to a MH 3 years ago and wished we had done so earlier. The big pluses for me are lack of staining and low price. Means I can empty the cassette more frequently without running up a large bill, or running out. Particularly useful on sites with gravel roads, on which the cassette wheels don’t work well, as I can carry it easily when only part full.

They certainly are, TG....and, guess what, they're also handy for washing clothes!
I have a box of non-bio for the places with septic tanks, and Bio for everywhere else.
we've been converts for years and I have a bottle of Thetford 'blue' in the garage which is heading ever closer to its use by date...horrible stuff...
like Steve says, cheap as chips to empty a little more often, usually every couple of days for us and readily available everywhere theres a Lidl or Aldi.

Interesting reading about the bio pods in toilet cassettes. We tried them once a few years ago when this subject first came up and we thought they were awful. Ok they seemed to break down solids (etc,etc) but the smell was really unpleasant so we stopped using them and went back to the Dometic or Thetford tabs/sachets. Perhaps we’ll give them another try. I assume any bio pods will work? We haven’t a handy Lidl or Aldi here.

We tried bio pods and hated them. Have now switched to “green” sachets. Excellent.
