Remember that the Elddis construction is "Solid" - Soggy or lets in damp

Guess we got lucky. In late April 2021, we liked the  look of the Swift Elegance 565 on-line, with its ‘lifetime’ water ingress guarantee (actually 25 years). Went down the road to Salop Leisure and had the choice if two immediately available, made in January 2021.

SL have also got the Coachman dealership recently and we saw new vans on site and actually being delivered as we stood there.

I’d cancel my Elddis order and go elsewhere.

Less lucky was a new Toyota tow car. Ordered early April, with delivery supposed to be in August, now put back to November! Existing tow car already sold, so new caravan but nothing to pull it with!!!

    😩😩😂😂

We ordered an Elddis Affinity 554 October 2020. We have been given numerous delivery dates (March, May, July, August). The latest one is that our van will be manufactured on 17th September. We have decided to cancel if we have not had it delivered by the anniversary of the order date. If we do we will be make a claim under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act for the return of the deposit plus other costs we have incurred due to non delivery ( storage fees, loss of site deposits plus any thing else we can think of)

On Facebook Elddis are pushing the fact that dealers will soon have 2022 demo models on show. We do not understand how Elddis can manufacture 2022 demo models for the dealer without first fulfilling their outstanding orders

We intend to go to the Elddis open day in September (we are going on the 5th)  and will try to get  the truth about the actual delivery.
I would urge everyone who is in the same position as ourselves to go to an open day event and ask the same questions

Ordered an Affinty 550 back in December 2020. What is more frustrating is the excuse they give is component shortages yet they seem to have enough components to make all their 2022 models for their open weekend. I feel for anyone who orders a 2022 model as when will they get the van 2024?

I'd cancel, go along to a few caravan dealers and see what new stock they have in, although may not be much around.  2022 models are almost out so if you find one you like you could get a decent discount on a 2021 model.  That's how we bought ours a few years ago.

Also did the same with my new car.  Really wanted the factory fitted towbar but none in dealer stock.  I didn't want to wait 16 weeks so looked at what was available and got exactly the car I wanted minus the factory fit towbar and got a decent discount. The dealer got me a detachable one fitted and picked it up within a week of going to look at it.  .

We ordered our Eddies affinity in March of this year. We have been given numerous build dates the latest being 8th September. Looking at the comments on here I think I’ve lost all hope of getting our van this year. Is the general opinion to walk away & look for something else? We were offered a demonstrator Adria yesterday. More expensive but we can have it more or less straight away. Any advice would be welcome.

We would go for the Adria having had a twin axle in the past and a friend who had a new Elddis and got rid of it after 3 years of nothing but problems with it now has gone back to Adria and he has had 3 and said he would not touch Elddis again an expensive mistake.

    Morning all,

My latest delivery has been moved again from the 12th to the 30th of September.
Its the same month so things are looking up. We are attending an open day at the Elddis factory on the 5th next Sunday. Should be an interesting visit. I think I’ll take my invoice and look out for people wearing an Elddis badge. 🤣

Do yourself one massive favour and buy the Adria if it’s still available!

Snatch their hand off for the Adria as long as it really fits what you want

We ordered a Minstral in October 2020 for Feb 21 delivery and still waiting dealer has advised a September delivery after checking Elddis online. Agree with all other comments on excuses for the delays and lack of support from customer services with failures to be proactive.

We’ve had our Elddis Accordo on order since October 2020 for delivery in June 2021. The last we heard from our dealer is the build could start in October/November 2021. The reason given is our Peugeot base has been delayed and other parts are delayed also due to Brexit, Covid and lack of drivers and increase in demand. Just have to be patient. At least we’re on a fixed price and the price has gone up.

Trying to be positive thinking the summer has gone so looking forward to getting ours next year which we believe is the realistic timescale

    Hi everyone,

    Thanks for your advice.
I have no intention of cancelling as it’s the van we want. Generally all makes of caravans have problems. I know of people who wouldn’t buy a Bailey.
    The seasons gone anyway.
If I ordered  a new van from a different dealer I will go to the back of the queue.
Anyone ordering a 2022 van today will be lucky to see this side of next August.
As for my latest update my delivery  has been moved once again to 18th October.

I find it extremely frustrating that Elddis are advertising the 2022 models, good luck with getting them on time. I ordered a Elddis Crusader Aurora the end of August 2020 with a delivery of March/April which has been delayed time and time again. The latest date of 10th Oct 22 (yesterday) which I was told would be the final delay has come and gone and still no van. Constantly having to chase the dealer for updates as well as they are not very forthcoming with keeping me updated 😔

'The latest date of 10th Oct 22 (yesterday)'

Did you mean 10th Oct 22 or 10th Oct 21wink

Our new Swift caravan was delayed after ordering it at the NEC show last February 2020 (just before covid took hold in the uk). We eventually picked it up at the beginning of November 2020 so were quite lucky I suppose. Fortunately the dealership & Swift honoured our original deal and provided us with the latest 2021 model at no extra cost. I would hope that other manufacturers would do the same and retain some sort of customer satisfaction during these difficult times too. The only potential drawback (as happened to us) is that the décor changed which was not as nice as the one we'd ordered IMHO. As mentioned in previous posts if we'd cancelled we'd have gone to the back of the queue again and had to swallow a substantial price increase. No point in stabbing yourself in the foot I'd say.

Deano we have had an Aurora on order from April 2021 told it would be ready on the 11th October after many date changes. I rang the dealer on the 14th Oct told its built but waiting for a locker door. Should be with them in two weeks! I had a trip up to the dealers on Sunday. Two brand new Auroras on the site so I now believe these are going to those who have shouted loudest. I have always been calm and patient every time the dealer rang to say its delayed again.

Incidentally the finish to both the vans post PDI was shocking. Silicone on all windows was a real mess. Glue staining down the front and side main joints. I certainly wont be accepting mine if its anything like those two.

Hi everyone my first post as a new member to the Club. Has anyone seen a 2022 Buccaneer in the wild yet? Like lots of other people we are still waiting for ours as delivery dates keep rolling by.

There hasn’t been any post for a while about the delays on 2022 Eldiss  caravans so I thought I’d let people know our experience if they are contemplating buying this years or even next years model. We ordered an Avante in April and told delivery woukd be July. Admittedly we didn’t do much research and took that at face value. After a few weeks we were told it would be August, then September and then October. The dealership were advertising a different Eldiss model with July availability so we changed to secure an earlier delivery. Big mistake, same thing with deferred delivery dates. We asked if we could instead buy a more expensive used Bailey on the forecourt of the dealership but they said No, we were contractually obliged to stick with the Eldiss. We were told delivery would be early August as waiting for some parts. That date came and then told it would be end of September. The dealership said they had been on to Eldiss who had agreed to take the parts off another caravan and we’d get it early September. All this has been blamed on a poor performance of a production manager and missing parts. We were told there are 260 unfinished caravans and production of 2023 models has been suspended to get those waiting finished. So obviously the delays will continue next year and in my opinion compounded even more. I just want anyone thinking of entering this route to be aware. If our dealership had warned us of the delays I would personally have not bothered

We are also experiencing delays with delivery and getting accurate information.

We ordered a Crusader Borealis in October 21, delivery was expected the following March/April, needless to say that came and went. So did June,July, August and now September. All the way through communication has been terrible, with failed promises to call us back and a general lack of accurate information, every time we have phoned Wiltshire Caravans (Yes I will name them)we have been given a slightly different story.

I am now worried that when it does turn up if there any warranty issues we will get the same treatment. We can't even put pressure on by threatening to cancel because demand is such that they could sell it 10 times over.

We ordered an elddis affinity 5th October 2021 and still dont have a delivery date - think even the dealer is getting fed up with lack of accurate information from the factory
